Asian Attractions Expo 2013 Scheduled for Singapore's Marina Bay Sands
The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions’ Asian Attractions Expo 2013 will head back to Singapore June 4-7 at the Marina Bay Sands.
After holding the show in Singapore in 2011, Malaysia the year before and it’s on tap in Hong Kong this year, exhibition organizers decided to take the show back to Singapore next year.
“We are excited to bring Asian Attractions Expo back to Singapore in 2013,” said Andrew Lee, IAAPA’s vice president of Asia-Pacific Operations.
He added, “Marina Bay Sands provides the ideal convention facilities, and our participants from around the world will enjoy experiencing all the integrated resort and Singapore have to offer.”
More than 4,500 attractions industry professionals from 40 countries are expected to participate in Asian Attractions Expo 2013.
Exhibition organizers also said they expect more than 200 companies from around the world to exhibit goods and services in 100 categories, including amusement and theme park rides; motion simulators; zip lines; transportation equipment; architectural and design services; theatrical equipment and production services; food and beverage items; inflatable attractions; waterslides; and video and skill games.
In addition, Asian Attractions Expo 2013 also will feature an industry-specific education program on topics such as innovative marketing, developing a culture of safety, efficient operations, and effective facility management.
The presentations will be given by worldwide industry leaders in each discipline.
Classroom sessions and behind-the-scenes tours to area attractions also will highlight the trends and explain best practices.
Chairmen, CEOs, general managers, and management team members from amusement and theme parks, waterparks, zoos, aquariums, museums, family entertainment centers, casinos, and resorts are expected to participate in the four-day event.
Singapore has several attractions exhibition organizers are considering hosting events at, such as The Gardens by The Bay, Universal Studios Singapore and River Safari, among others.
The Marina Bay Sands opened in 2010 and has 2,500 rooms, as well as a state-of-the-art convention facility.
