Business Contracts Renewals Abound as 2018 Comes to a Close

The Exhibition Services & Contractors Association Extended its management agreement with Augusta Group Management through 2023. 

“The Exhibition Services & Contractors Association (ESCA) is pleased to extend the management agreement with Augusta Group Management (AGM). Executive Director Larry Arnaudet and his team have proven value year after year with membership growth and support as well as executing the most successful conferences in the association’s history, said Rich Curran, ESCA president.

He added, “We have been extremely happy with the success of the Worker Identification System (WIS) Badge program as it continues to expand across the country and this is from the diligent efforts of the AGM team. The ESCA brand is the strongest it has ever been.”

The North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) has signed a seven-year contract with Cobo Center to continue as its venue through June 2026 and confirmed show dates for June 2020.

NAIAS’s move to the summer months creates new opportunities for participating brands to deliver dynamic exhibits and experiential opportunities both inside and outside of Cobo Center and offers new avenues to showcase products and technologies. 

Cobo Center has played host to NAIAS for the past 53 years.

“Cobo Center is a world-class venue and the perfect home for NAIAS each year,” said Rod Alberts, executive director, NAIAS. “Over the past 30 years, we have hosted thousands of international journalists, industry executives and thought leaders, and consumers. We are delighted to continue our partnership and look forward to the transformation NAIAS will undergo in 2020.”

The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) - the international, educational society for ophthalmic surgeons - renewed its contract with Convention Data Services (CDS) for three years through 2022.  

CDS will provide full-service registration, integrations and lead management for the ASCRS•ASOA Annual Meeting as well as self-service registration for multiple smaller conferences. 

The American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC), has appointed SPARGO, Inc. as their Meeting Management Services partner. 

SPARGO will provide its full suite of meeting management services for the AACC Annual Scientific Meeting featuring over 300 lectures, plenary sessions, scientific sessions and roundtables.

This expands SPARGO’s existing role with the organization that includes the sale and management of exhibit space and sponsorships, and the management of attendee and exhibitor housing for the Annual Scientific Meeting.

SPARGO will also provide support for other educational programs produced by the association, including meeting management services and exhibit and sponsorship sales for AACC Middle East, taking place in Dubai in October 2019.

In November, Spargo also assumed responsibility for the management of the ASRM Annual Scientific Congress and Exposition. 

In this role, SPARGO will provide meeting management services, logistical support, exposition space and exhibitor marketing opportunity sales, and management of exposition operations.

The Annual Scientific Congress, which has seen steady growth in attendance and exhibitor participation, brings together scientists from around the world to discuss the advancement of the science and practice of reproductive medicine.

American Library Association (ALA) has renewed their contract with CompuSystems (CSI) through 2020.

ALA hosts a pair of events each year – the Midwinter Meeting and its Annual Conference, for which CSI provides numerous services including registration and lead retrieval.

This renewal deal speaks volumes of our fantastic relationship with the American Library Association,” CompuSystems President Chris Williams said. “We will continue to provide excellent service for the association to further strengthen the partnership.”
