Freeman Launches Blueprint Digital Floor Plan Management System

March 22, 2018

Freeman has launched Blueprint, a web-based floor plan management system designed to transform the way show organizers plan, manage and sell event booth space.

Originally launched in 2009 as ShowPlans in the European, Middle Eastern and Asian markets and now released in the U.S. with new features, the re-branded platform delivers real-time visibility into booth availability during the sales process while helping to improve show planning efficiency.

While manual floor planning can be a time-consuming and error-prone process, Blueprint solves this issue by creating and storing digital floor plans directly in the cloud with an intuitive, user-friendly interface that anyone can use, regardless of design or technical knowledge.

Backed by comprehensive Freeman support and user training, Blueprint allows show organizers, sales teams and event marketers to quickly update floor plans, ensuring everyone has immediate access to the most current information.

“Blueprint takes a streamlined, yet comprehensive approach to address some of the complexities of planning a major show,” explained Richard Maranville, executive vice president and chief digital officer at Freeman.

He continued, “We’ve designed Blueprint to quickly get each stakeholder – from sales and marketing to technical teams and contractors – exactly what they need, no matter where they are or what device they are using. Also, because the process is entirely digital, organizers can access significantly more data. This will enable them to quickly identify their most popular spaces and exhibitors, helping them to better optimize the planning process and bringing dramatic benefits to users throughout the trade show and event ecosystem.”

Event organizers can also take advantage of Blueprint Pro, an advanced option that adds the ability to embed digital floor plans into event websites. Besides allowing prospective exhibitors and sponsors can see booth availability in real-time and book the space directly on the website, attendees also can more easily identify relevant booths to visit.

Breakbulk Americas, one of the largest exhibitions for top-tier shippers and cargo service providers, recently gave Blueprint a try as a pilot program.

Through using the platform to assist with rebooking, the show experienced a significant increase in the percentage of space sold by the end of the current show, according to Christian Thompson, event director of Breakbulk Americas.

“The visual aspect of the Blueprint floor plan had a profound impact on our recurring booth sales,” Thompson said. “Not only did it give exhibitors and attendees a comprehensive feel for what was available, it also showed us how popular our event is.”
