HKTDC Opens Inaugural Outdoor and Tech Light Expo
The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) held the inaugural Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo Oct. 26-29 at AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE).
The event featured about 380 exhibitors from Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland, Malaysia, Korea and Taiwan.
The Outdoor and Tech Light Expo showcased four major themes: outdoor lighting; lighting accessories, parts & components; professional & industrial lighting; and advertising lighting.
During the same period, the HKTDC also held three other shows, Eco Expo Asia, and Hong Kong International Building and Hardware Fair ran concurrently with Outdoor and Tech Light Expo, while Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition) took place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) from 26th to 30th October.
The four shows attracted more than 77,000 buyers from 148 countries and regions – representing a 5.6 percent year-on-year increase.
Benjamin Chau, Deputy Executive Director, HKTDC, said, “We saw vibrant business momentum at the fairgrounds, which is an indication of optimism about market prospects. As users become more conscious of environmental protection, and companies place greater emphasis on energy-efficient and socially responsible strategies, the potential for green business is vast, and eco products emerged as a highlight of the fairs.”
He added, “Exhibitors and buyers from around the world can make full use of the HKTDC’s one-stop, large-scale, cross industry sourcing platform to develop new markets.”
