CTIA-The Wireless Association will combine its larger, annual CTIA Wireless trade show, which is focused on technology and consumer electronics, and its smaller MobileCON event, with an emphasis on mobile IT solutions, into one ‘super mobile show’ in 2014. Just a few days shy of the kickoff of the AGENDA trade show for the streetwear and action sports industries, on tap Jan. 4-5 at the Long Beach (Calif.) As part of National Association of Tobacco Outlet’s 12th Anniversary and Trade Show in Las Vegas, the organization will launch the first Meetings with a Mission (MWM) event. The MWM event is a community engagement initiative for attendees to serve at the Las Vegas Rescue Mission April 22, the first day of the show, which runs through April 24. Water Expo China + Water Membrane China broke its previous record for exhibitor and visitor attendance when it was held Oct. 29-31 at the China National Convention Center in Beijing.  A new record of 398 exhibitors, from 21 countries and regions, a 21-percent increase, compared last year, including national groups and pavilions from Austria, Germany, Korea and Taiwan region, was set at this year’s 22,000 square meters show. The biannual South China Label Show 2012, owned by U.K.-based Tarsus Group, attracted 5,098 visitors as its second edition was held Dec. 4-6 at the Pazhou Exhibition Center in Guangzhou. The show exceeded previous statistics in attendee and exhibitor numbers and many senior executives visited, confirming the fast growing importance of the event and the market in the region. Driven by strong sales at home and abroad in 2012, Messe Frankfurt will be the first German trade show organizer to pass the €500 million sales mark, according to company officials. “We expect to generate sales of around €538 million – the highest ever in the history of our group to date,” said Wolfgang Marzin, Messe Frankfurt’s president and CEO.
