Messe Duesseldorf's China Med Services Growing Market; Medica 2011 Wraps Up in Germany
China Med 2012, International Medical Instruments and Equipment Exhibition, which services the fast-growing medical services industry in China, will take place March 23-25 at the China International Exhibition Center in Shanghai.
The event will be jointly organized by Messe Duesseldorf China, the China World Trade Center Co. Ltd., the China Hui Tong Corporation and the Medical Department of the General Logistics Department of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army.
Messe Duesseldorf China is the subsidiary of Messe Duesseldorf in Germany, which also organizes Medica, the leading international medical trade fair worldwide.
As the first UFI (The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry)-approved medical exhibition in China, China Med has developed into one of the most important trade fair for the Chinese medical equipment sector, according to Messe Duesseldorf officials.
More than 500 exhibitors will present the latest technical advances for the healthcare industry, including medical diagnostics and imaging equipment, surgical instruments and medical software, as well as electro medical technology, hospital equipment and IT technology.
A special feature will be the “Brand Zones” from Europe, North America and Asia and the “Consumables Pavilion”. A conference, a congress and a seminar series will complement the exhibits.
At the last staging of China Med in spring 2011, 512 exhibitors from 20 countries showcased their products to 26,768 visitors.
Messe Duesseldorf’s Medica show, concurrently held COMPAMED 2011 for upstream supplies, recently wrapped up Nov. 16-19 in Duesseldorf, Germany, and drew 134,500 visitors and 4,571 exhibitors.
“The manufacturers of medical device technology, medical products and medical IT have once again used the framework of MEDICA in Düsseldorf to impressively evidence their operational excellence,” said Joachim Schäfer, managing director at Messe Duesseldorf.
He added, “Professional organizations reported an excellent mood prevailing amongst exhibitors and of good business as a result of the high attendance of international and decision-making trade visitors.”
Compamed also drew 16,000 attendees and 627 exhibitors from 40 countries, which matched the most exhibitors the show had drawn since its inception.
Next year’s Medica and Compamed shows will be held Nov. 14-17 at Messe Duesseldorf.
