Metaverse Spectrum to Stage First Annual B2B Conference and Expo in October

October 6, 2022

The age of the metaverse is upon us, but how can event organizers, event marketers and businesses innovatively leverage this brave new world? The first annual Metaverse Spectrum Business Conference & Expo, set for Oct. 25, is designed to showcase the many ways for attendees to do so—all within the metaverse itself.

The first-of-its-kind event specifically aims to educate attendees about the metaverse and its various use cases for events and businesses by connecting them with top influencers and leading companies blazing new trails in the metaverse, according to Sabrina George, senior vice president of The Metaverse Spectrum.

“We’re bringing together the best and brightest thinkers and technologies in this space,” George said. “What’s new and exciting about this event is that attendees, sponsors and speakers will be engaging and learning in the metaverse, so they can actually experience what the Web 3.0 environment can do now—and what’s coming.”

The event, expected to attract more than 1,000 people, will feature educational sessions, networking opportunities and an expo hall, where more than 20 metaverse platforms, including metaverse event providers such as Get Real XR, Meetaverse, rooom and Surreal Events, will be on hand to demonstrate their cutting-edge technologies and applications.

“The metaverse is really the next frontier for events, and this conference and expo will give attendees a first-hand experience of this immersive environment through the entry platform and also provide a bridge to all of other metaverse platform experiences that are currently available, with specific case studies for events and corporate businesses,” George said.

Highlights of the how-to sessions and panel discussions include:

  • Metaverse and Live Events: Challenges and Opportunities for Event Tech and Event Organizers, presented by Marco Giberti, media, events and technology entrepreneur and founder and CEO of Vesuvio Ventures.

  • The Future of Live Events in the Metaverse, moderated by Michael Schaiman, CEO of Non-Fungible Heroes, and featuring panelists John Rush, co-founder and CEO of Surreal Events; Ben Chodor, advisory board member of Notified and founder of Stream57 and Happtique; and Doug Simon, CEO of DS Simon Media.

  • How to Build a Metaverse Community, moderated by Donna Davis, associate professor and director of the Oregon Reality Lab and the Strategic Communication Master’s Program at University of Oregon, and featuring panelists Ana Constantino, co-founder and managing partner of NOWHERE; RD Whitney, chief community officer at The Chief Executive Group and COO at The CFO Leadership Council; Robin Raskin, writer, publisher and founder of The Virtual Events Group; and Kenneth Landau, CEO and co-founder of Mytaverse.

Attendees will have access to more than 1,000 minutes of content and at least 40 speakers, in addition to the expo hall.
