NürnbergMesse North America’s InterBev Splits into Two Shows

March 24, 2014

In January, NürnbergMesse North America decided to collocate it InterBev show with the Food Marketing Institute’s FMI Connect, which will be held June 10-13 in Chicago.

Now, the Germany-based show organizer will split InterBev into two targeted shows, InterBev Beverage and InterBev Process, to cover the different product categories. The InterBev Process show will be held in 2015.

InterBev will be collocated annually with FMI Connect and is sponsored by the American Beverage Association, covering the entire beverage consumption market, from the beverage itself to marketing to point-of-sale equipment.

Attendees are beverage retailers, nationwide and regional trade and grocery chains, independent representatives and online beverage dealers.

InterBev show management said they expect approximately 100 exhibitors and 2,000 attendees, as well as another 15,000 FMI Connect attendees at this year’s event.

InterBev Process will debut Sept. 15-18 in Chicago and will be held in odd-numbered years together with PROCESS Expo, North America's leading trade show for the food and beverage industry.

As a capital goods show, InterBev Process covers the entire beverage industry value creation chain, from raw materials to technology to packaging and logistics.

Around 150 exhibitors will present their solutions and innovations to some 2,000 trade attendees, as well as a large part of the approximately 21,000 attendees of PROCESS Expo, according to show management.

The two new InterBev divisions fit neatly into NürnbergMesse Group’s beverage and packaging portfolio.

"We are very glad that with InterBev Beverage and InterBev Process, we can draw on the extensive experience of the NürnbergMesse Group in these areas,” said Andrea Paulinelli, director of InterBev with NürnbergMesse North America.

She added, “With BrauBeviale, FachPack and BIOFACH we have three major shows, from which these two new shows can draw great benefit."
