Tank Storage Asia Joins Forces with Singapore-based Singex to Build Event

June 25, 2012

EasyFairs’ StocExpo, Europe’s top event for the tank terminal industry, has joined forces with Singapore-based Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions specialist, Singex, to enhance the development of its bulk liquid storage event in Asia – Tank Storage Asia.

The collaboration between StocExpo and Singex will establish a business platform to support industry professionals from within this and associated sectors.

The first edition of Tank Storage Asia to benefit from this new partnership takes place Dec. 11-12.

Comprised of a two-day conference and exhibition, Tank Storage Asia provides an opportunity for exhibitors to showcase the latest innovations in the tank storage marketplace.

Visitors also will be able to take advantage of an extensive conference program presented by key industry speakers, covering a range of specialist technical and critical business issues.

"Tank Storage Asia provides a detailed insight into the latest developments and trends in the Asian markets and the opportunity to meet key players in distribution and storage," said Auden Kaehler, Downstream Manager, PFC Energy.

Tank Storage Asia 2012 will build on the success of past editions, highlighting market relevant products and services, such as tank design, construction, maintenance and cleaning, to automation and systems integration, inspection and certification.

Exhibitors also will have access to a new suite of marketing tools, specially developed by the StocExpo team for Tank Storage Asia 2012.

These complimentary and flexible services will maximize the branding and visibility of exhibitors so that they have the ability to reach the right target audience of business visitors and buyers.

Singapore has become a vibrant, international trading centre in the bulk liquid industry for agricultural and petroleum-related products, according to Singex officials.

Petroleum trade in Singapore alone accounts for almost US$300 billion, with more than 30 million metric tonnes of annual bunker fuel oil sales.

The Storage Terminal Operators’ Conference & Exhibition (StocExpo) now is looking to rapidly grow its Tank Storage Event portfolio in the Asian region with Singapore, Asia’s largest hub of this industry.

“Despite strong competition from neighbouring countries, Singapore is in a strong position to defend its reputation,” Matt Benyon, managing director for StocExpo said.

He added, “It has earned its status over the years due to its robust infrastructure, effective processes and refining capabilities that have made the region synonymous with efficiency. We are delighted to be working with Singex to grow this event further into this territory and are looking forward to seeing the show flourish in this fruitful region with its support.”

Aloysius Arlando, CEO of Singex, added, “Singex is committed to the development of specialised and emerging industry events as well as long-term partnerships with organisers looking to enter or expand in Asia. Through this collaboration with StocExpo we look forward to sharing our experience and expertise in Asia to position Tank Storage Asia as a permanent and prominent fixture in the international tank storage industry’s events’ calendar.”

In addition to Tank Storage Asia, Singex also is currently working on shows in waste management, and rehabilitative and assistive technology.
