Wire & Tube Southeast Asia 2019 Close to Positive Results
At the recent staging of wire Southeast Asia - 13th International Wire & Cable Trade Fair for Southeast Asia - and Tube Southeast Asia - 12th International Tube & Pipe Trade Fair for Southeast Asia - in Bangkok, 400 exhibitors from 30 countries showcased their latest innovations for the sectors.
Some 9,000 trade visitors from 59 nations took part. Both events were marked by the thriving economy and high willingness to invest and exhibitors reported high order volume.
Over 90% of the exhibitors came from neighboring countries Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia and China, as well as from Germany and Great Britain. In addition, the trade fairs featured eight country group exhibits from Austria, Italy, Great Britain, Germany, the U.S., China, Taiwan and Singapore.
The majority of the visitors travelled from Thailand, India, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Myanmar, Indonesia, Japan, Korea and Vietnam, also including visitor delegations from individual countries. About 43% of the attendees were from overseas.
Through continuous investment in infrastructure and trade, Thailand has developed into the economic hub for the ASEAN states. Sectors such as the automotive industry, electronics, robotics and the food sector are all experiencing an upswing – triggering higher demand for machinery, equipment and products from the wire, cable and tube industries.
