String of Bombings Do Not Impact Business Events in Thailand
Despite a string of bombings two weeks ago, the calendar of events taking place in Thailand for the rest of this year remain full and cover everything from meetings, incentives, conventions, exhibitions and mega events, with total of 154 business events scheduled to be held between now until the December 2016, according to the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau.
Among the big events coming up in Thailand August and September 2016 are two meetings and incentives events in Phuket – Phuket is also popular with big conventions and meetings.
Planned Aug. 18-21is the Thailand Incentive & Meeting Exchange (TIME) 2016, which will see professionals in the meetings incentives, convention and exhibition sector convening in Phuket to exchange expertise and knowledge.
Pro-Health 2016 Incentive Trip to Phuket will be on going from Aug. 28-Sept. 11, with 5,500 MICE visitors.
Then in November and December, are many highlights of conventions and exhibitions in Thailand – In Cosmetic Asia 2016 and Cosmex 2016 will take place Nov. 8-10.
The 10th International Petroleum Technology Conference will be held Nov. 14-16. The following week, The Grand Metalex 2016 and Motor Expo 2016 are scheduled to take place concurrently. Thailand will also be a host country for The 29th Congress of International Society of Sugar Cane Technologist Dec. 5-8.
Confirming its position as a preferred business events destination in Asia, TCEB also announced that Thailand did play host to a diverse line-up of confirmed major business events in fiscal year 2017 (October 2016-September 2017), The 21st CEPSI: 21st Conference of The Electric Power Supply Industry, Asia Pacific Society of Respirology, The 29th Congress of the International Society of Sugar Cane Technologists, The Grand Metalex 2017, VIV 2017, ProPak 2017,Bangkok Entertainment Week 2017.
As the government’s flagship body for the MICE sector, TCEB wants to reassure all business travellers that their safety is the highest priority and that everything is being done to ensure the people behind the recent attacks are apprehended.
TCEB is monitoring and assessing the business events situation and will be providing further details as the situation develops.
