Two of Hannover Messe’s US Shows Merge to Form Integrated Automation, Motion & Drives Trade Show
Hannover Fairs USA, the U.S. subsidiary of Hannover, Germany’s Deutsche Messe will combine two of HANNOVER MESSE portfolio trade shows, Industrial Automation and Motion, Drive & Automation, to form Integrated Automation, Motion & Drives (IAMD).
The new trade show will feature the full range of industrial automation, power transmission and fluid power solutions for the factory of the future.
“Industry 4.0 and the global manufacturing markets desire for digitally integrated products is the driving force behind this merger,” said Larry Turner, president and CEO of HFUSA.
He added, “Combining these two powerful B2B events for industrial technology allows our growing roster of exhibitors to showcase their latest solutions in the United States and Canada on one platform on an annual basis.”
The new IAMD trade show will showcase production, process and energy automation systems, robotics, industrial IT, hardware and services, production technologies and services, transmission and fluid power components and systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, plain and rolling bearings, geared motors, linear technology, and sealing technology.
From Sept. 25-28, 2017, IAMD Canada, ComVac Canada, parts2clean Canada, and CeMAT Canada will collocate with the Canadian Manufacturing Technology Show (CMTS) in Toronto.
From Nov. 6–9 IAMD USA will run parallel to FABTECH Chicago at McCormick Place.
In September 2018, IAMD USA, Surface Technology USA, ComVac USA and Industrial Supply USA will collocate with IMTS 2018 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
“During all of our industrial technology events in the United States, as well as the increasing number of industrial trade shows we are organizing in Canada, the new IAMD event will cover the entire factory floor and showcase how it can be integrated into Industry 4.0,” Turner said.
Organized by SME, CMTS showcases machine tools and tooling, metalworking, and advanced manufacturing. The biennial event takes place at The International Centre just outside of Toronto and hosts more than 700 exhibiting companies and 9,000 visitors
FABTECH is North America’s largest event for metal forming, fabricating, welding and finishing. FABTECH is co-organized by The Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, Int’l (FMA), SME, the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA), Chemical Coaters Association International (CCAI), and the American Welding Society (AWS).
In 2017, FABTECH will host more than 1,700 exhibiting companies and 40,000 visitors.
The Association for Manufacturing Technology manages The International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS), the largest and longest running manufacturing technology trade show in the United States.
