NPE2018: The Plastics Show Sells Out Exhibit Space
Exhibit space for NPE2018: The Plastics Show has sold out more than a year in advance at its recent Space Draw, a first in the history of North American’s largest trade show and conference for the international plastics manufacturing industry.
Owned and produced by the Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS), the triennial expo and educational event is set to take place May 7-11 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.
PLASTICS will continue working to accommodate exhibitors still waiting for booth assignments with limited availability in several of the show’s Technology Zones, while additional exhibit space could become available in the coming weeks for potential exhibitors who weren’t slotted during the Space Draw, according to show officials.
In the event of changes or cancellations, applicants unable to secure booth space on the showfloor will be contacted in order of Space Draw pick.
“We anticipated NPE2018 would break the record we set in 2015, but it’s incredible that we exceeded our numbers during Space Draw, a full 14 months ahead of NPE2018,” said William R. Carteaux, president and CEO of PLASTICS.
He continued, “The industry leaders and decision makers who come to NPE2018 actively seeking new technology solutions will absolutely find them among our diverse, bustling exhibit halls.”
The association expects 65,000-plus buyers and approximately 2,000 exhibitors will occupy a more than 1.1 million square foot showfloor at next year’s show.
At its 2015 event, held March 23-27 at the OCCC, NPE boasted 65,810 registered attendees and 2,029 exhibitors spanning 1,128,200 net square feet of expo space.
In light of the show’s anticipated robust attendance, some NPE exhibitors have decided to increase their booth footprint at next year’s event.
“The growth of the global plastic industry and manufacturing within the past few years has been encouraging and we are optimistic for continued progress,” said Masato Mori, vice president of Canon Virginia.
He added, “Because of this trend, we made the decision to expand our booth space for NPE2018 to ensure we’re at the center of this international hub of innovation and discovery.”
As it has done for almost 70 years, NPE2018 will once again draw in thousands of plastic industry professionals for five days of learning, networking and technological discovery as its showcases the emerging technologies projected to shape the future of plastics.
NPE: The Plastics Show ranks No. 7 on the 2016 TSNN Top 250 U.S. Trade Shows list.
