Metal + Metallurgy China Features 1,200+ Exhibitors
Metal + Metallurgy China 2017, positioned as Asia’s largest exhibition serving the metal and metallurgical industries, was held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) from 13th to 15th June. The shows covered over 90,000 m2 of exhibition space and featured over 1,260 exhibitors.
The event was jointly organised by the China Iron and Steel Association, the China Foundry Association, the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (CMES), the Metallurgical Council of CCPIT, the Industrial Furnace Institution of CMES and Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai Ltd.
It also featured several concurrent events: the 15th China International Foundry Expo, the 17th China International Metallurgical Industry Expo and the 15th China International Industrial Furnaces Exhibition. The Foundry Expo showcased cutting-edge products and technologies focused on niche categories such as digital simulation techniques, rapid prototyping, robotics and big data.
The Metallurgical Industry Expo featured metallurgical equipment and products, refractory materials, scrap metal recycling, sheet metal processing, wires and steel structures. The International Pavilion featured robotic and automation technologies as well as three new sectors: die-casting, industrial automation, and aluminium products.
