Houston to Host 30,000+ Dental Professionals in 2022
Houston will soon host one of the largest meetings of dental professionals in the nation in 2022.
The American Dental Association (ADA), Texas Dental Association (TDA) and Greater Houston Dental Society will combine respective conventions, collectively bringing more than 30,000 attendees to Houston's downtown campus, Avenida Houston.
“We are enthused the ADA and its counterparts chose Houston as its destination for 2022,” said John Solis, senior vice president of sales for Visit Houston.
He added, “As home to the largest medical center, Houston is a natural fit for medical meetings of this magnitude, and we look forward to welcoming the ADA.”
The Texas Medical Center is the largest academic medical complex in the world. Home to 56 institutions, over 100,000 employees, and a membership that includes some of the most well-known and top-ranked hospitals and academic institutions in the country, this ‘city of health’ is uniquely positioned to benefit meetings in the life sciences industry.
“Holding ADA 2022 in Houston is simply an all-around win for everyone. America’s Dental Meeting attendees from all over the world will be able to enjoy the many improvements to the convention center, hotels, dining and cultural offerings in Houston,” said Jim Goodman, CMP, ADA vice president, conferences and continuing education.
He added, “The new ADA collaboration with the Texas Dental Association and the Greater Houston Dental Society will create improved attendee and exhibitor experiences as well as access to the amazing medical/dental resources Houston offers such as the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and the University of Texas School of Dentistry.”
Additionally, the newly reimagined Avenida Houston offers one of the most dynamic entertainment and hospitality campuses in the country. Unveiled in early 2017 in time to host Super Bowl LI festivities, the campus offers two headquarter convention hotels, a 12-acre park space, five connected restaurants, public art and more.
“Houston’s new convention campus, coupled with the city’s incomparable resources in the state medical, energy and aerospace industries, continue to set Houston apart. This conference is a huge win for Houston and we are excited to continue propelling our reach in the life sciences industry,” Solis said.
