Cincinnati Magazine Acquires Cincinnati Baby & Beyond Expo

March 23, 2018

Cincinnati Magazine has purchased Cincinnati Baby & Beyond Expo from Hart Productions.

Set for Sept. 15-16 at the Sharonville Convention Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, the annual consumer show for moms, moms-to-be, parents and extended family attracts more than 10,000 attendees and more than 150 exhibiting companies featuring the latest in baby gear, clothing and accessories, along with onsite child and health care experts and interactive activities to keep kids entertained.

According to Ivy Bayer, publisher of Cincinnati Magazine, which has produced the expo’s program since its inception three years ago, purposeful events for niche audiences have become a growing area of focus for the publication.

“The Cincinnati Baby & Beyond Expo aligns perfectly with the strategic goals of Cincinnati Magazine’s Baby Guide, which is produced as an annual complement to our award-winning monthly publication and digital content,” Bayer said.

She added, “We are thrilled to further expand our reach to meet the needs and interests of parents in our community in this multi-faceted, hands-on way.”

Going forward, Cincinnati Baby & Beyond Expo will evolve into an experiential extension of the magazine’s content produced exclusively for local parents and soon-to-be parents, including the Cincinnati Magazine Baby Guide, which offers relevant, researched, honest advice and features interviews with local medical experts, hot topic discussions, how-to guides and parenting tips.

The publication also plans to not only maintain the Expo’s status as the premier baby show for the region but will also continue working with vendors to grow the event, according to Cincinnati Magazine officials.

“We have an excellent, long-standing relationship with Cincinnati Magazine as the publisher of multiple, high quality show programs for our events,” said Vicki Hart, CEO of Hart Productions.

She continued, “Cincinnati Magazine is the premier lifestyle and heritage magazine of Cincinnati, and they produce quality events and content we enjoy. So, our decision was simple.”

One of the largest of its kind in the country, the Cincinnati Baby & Beyond Expo is the newest addition to a growing list of popular, large-scale consumer events that Cincinnati Magazine either owns or plays a major role in, including Savor Cincinnati, a 10-night dinner series featuring custom menus developed by the city’s most celebrated chefs and Slice Night, an annual fundraiser featuring a wide array of gourmet pizza at Sawyer Point that benefits the University of Cincinnati Cancer Institute.
