New Business Contracts: Event Companies Renew Partnerships, Nab New Clients
Several trade show management companies and event solutions providers have been spending their summer renewing long-term partnerships and acquiring new business.
Event producer, Reed Exhibitions, has renewed its contract with CompuSystems through 2019. CompuSystems, provider of registration, data management and lead retrieval services, has been providing full-service registration for Reed for the past 33 years.
“We are excited to continue our long-running partnership with Reed Exhibitions,” said Chris Williams, president of CompuSystems. “Our team remains focused on providing innovative products and world-class service to help Reed achieve their goals.”
The American Public Works Association (APWA) has selected full-service trade show management company, Taffy Event Strategies, to manage the exhibition sales, marketing and operations for APWA’s 2019 PWX event, North America’s largest exhibition for public works equipment and services, set to take place Sept. 8-11 at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle, Washington.
“As our attendance at PWX increases and our expo space grows, we felt that it was important to partner with Taffy Event Strategies,” said Diana Forbes, director of meetings for APWA.
“We believe they will bring us a strong skillset and will serve as great partners for the future.”
PWX, which draws more than 5,000 of public works professionals from across the globe, includes an educational conference and expo spanning approximately 80,000 net square feet of exhibit space.
“We are excited to work with APWA on PWX,” said Jennifer Hoff, president of Taffy Event Strategies.
She continued, “Taffy Event Strategies looks forward to growing the show floor and sponsorship program and developing a solid and long-lasting partnership with APWA that will help to drive the industry overall.”
SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics technology, has renewed its contract with Convention Data Services (CDS) for two years through 2020.
Under the terms of the agreement, CDS will provide full-service registration, lead retrieval and integrations for the organization’s top events, including Photonics West, Advanced Lithography, Defense & Commercial Sensing, Optics & Photonics and Optifab.
“SPIE is a long-term and valued client for CDS, and we are excited to continue our partnership,” said David Lawton, executive vice president of sales at CDS.
He continued, “Since we have been working together for more than 20 years, we fully understand SPIE’s processes, events and business objectives. We have a very close integration with the SPIE membership database and will continue our dedication to providing outstanding customer service, registration management and integrations to SPIE.”
SPIE annually organizes and sponsors approximately 25 major technical forums, exhibitions and education programs in North America, Europe, Asia and the South Pacific.
“SPIE is grateful to CDS for the company’s endurance to make our registration process successful for attendees as well as our staff in an efficient, organized and timely manner,” said Jenifer Dodds, manager, Meetings Department at SPIE.
