Double-digit Growth at CPhI China in Shanghai

CPhI and P-MEC China, organised by UBM EMEA, UBM Sinoexpo and China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Medicines & Health Products (CCCMHPIE), closed in June 2017 with a very successful show, reporting positive outlook for further Chinese pharmaceutical market development.

Since 2016, CPhI China has experienced a 14 percent growth in overall visits and a 12 percent growth in overseas visits.

HKCEC Successfully Secured 44 New Exhibitions, Conferences in FY2016/17

The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre has continued to be the top venue for international organisers staging world-class exhibitions and conferences in Hong Kong.

During the fiscal year 2016-2017 (July 2016 to June 2017), a total of 1,102 events were held at the HKCEC, including 116 exhibitions and 104international and local conferences, along with hundreds of corporate meetings, banquets and entertainment events.

Asiamold Set to be Held concurrently with SPS – Industrial Automation Fair Guangzhou

The 12th edition of Asiamold – Guangzhou International Mould & Die Exhibition, is scheduled to take place March 4-6 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou, China.

The fair will be held concurrently with SPS – Industrial Automation Fair Guangzhou (SIAF) again to help industry players unlock greater business opportunities and stimulate greater collaboration.

LVCVA Celebrates Employee Who Will Turn 100

During the August Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority’s board of directors meeting, employee Bill Darwin was recognized for his upcoming 100thbirthday in a surprise presentation.

Darwin officially will celebrate the milestone on August 19.

An LVCVA employee since September 2008, Darwin works for the organization’s registration services to help staff various meetings, events and trade shows throughout the destination.

He has worked for 102 shows in the destination via the LVCVA.

Savannah International Trade & Convention Center Achieves LEED Gold Certification

The Savannah International Trade & Convention Center was awarded LEED Gold certification for Existing Buildings by the U.S. Green Building Council, making it the first convention center in Georgia and one of a handful of U.S. convention facilities to attain a gold level rating.

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a green building rating system for the design, construction, operations and maintenance of sustainable buildings.
