318 MICE Events Held in Macau in Q2
The Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) under the Government of Macao Special Administrative Region released its MICE statistics in Macao for the quarter ended 30th June 2016. A total of 318 MICE events were held in the quarter, including 292 meetings & conferences, 18 exhibitions and 8 incentive events. The total number of MICE participants was 451,000.
TCEB Launches New Activity to Promote MICE Industry
The Thailand Incentive and Meeting Exchange (TIME) 2016, organised by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), took place in Bangkok and Phuket from 16th to 21st August. Focused on the Chinese market, the inaugural event consisted of three activities: a knowledge exchange, a business exchange and an experience exchange.
Brisbane Boat Show 2016 Opens
The Brisbane Boat Show was held from 19th to 21st August at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC). Displaying water craft and other accessories, more than 70 organisations covering boats and boat activities such as fishing, water skiing, wake boarding, personal water craft and canoeing are participating in the three-day show.
UBM Hosts Two Shows in New Delhi
UBM India has launched the 11th edition of Food ingredients India and Health ingredients (Fi India & Hi) at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, from 22nd to 24th August. After being held in Western India since 2006, the 2016 edition was held in New Delhi for the first time. The show will now rotate between Mumbai and New Delhi annually. With over 200 exhibitors from 12 participating countries, the trade show targeted at the food and health ingredients, processing and packaging industry.

Final Countdown Begins for Shenyang's New “EXPO”
The Shenyang New World EXPO (EXPO) is only days from its special opening. The new venue will host China’s Annual National Planning Conference 2016 (ANPC) Sept. 24-26.
Current advance registrations ensure that more than 7,000 delegates will attend the event from throughout China.
MGTO to Organize MITE 2016
The 4th edition of Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo (MITE) was held Sept. 2-4 at Hall D, Cotai Expo of the Venetian Macao.
Organized by Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) and other co-organisers include Macao Chamber of Commerce, Macao Federation of Trade Unions, the General Union of Neighbors Association of Macau and Women’s General Association of Macau, the show’s purpose was to highlight Macau’s competitiveness as an international travel destination for overseas tourists.
The three-day event also was supported by the China National Tourism Administration.
