Hometown Chef Michael Symon to Headline Cleveland I-X Center’s Fabulous Food Show

Iron Chef and Cleveland Native Michael Symon is heading back to his roots Nov. 14-16 to headline the International Exposition (I-X) Center’s Fabulous Food Show.

Fabulous Food Show is the nation’s largest consumer food and beverage-themed event that attracts world-renowned culinary professionals, celebrity chefs and regional artisans who conduct high-quality demos.

More than 100 live presentations will be scheduled across six different customized stages, and Chef Symon will appear at the event each day. 

Cosmoprof North America Boasts a Record Event in Las Vegas

Cosmoprof North America, the annual trade show and conference for beauty professionals, saw growth across all categories at its 2014 event that took place July 13-15 at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.

The show featured 992 exhibitors (up 11 percent) spread out on 221, 532 square feet (up 5 percent) and attracted 27,040 attendees (up 4 percent, compared with 2013).

“This is our largest show ever. Our challenge is that we’re maxed out,” said Daniela Ciocan, marketing director of Cosmoprof North America.

Advanstar Communications Reportedly Exploring Possible Sale

Advanstar Communications reportedly is looking into a possible sale, and the company could go for more than $900 million, according to a news report from Reuters.

Citing people familiar with the matter, who did not want to be named because the possibility of a sale is not public, the news report said “Advanstar is working with investment banks Goldman Sachs Group and Moelis & Co to assist with efforts to find a buyer.”

Contacted by TSNN, Advanstar declined to comment on the Reuters article.
