June marked a month filled with people news that included long-time industry veterans announcing they were retiring, other trade show professionals being promoted and new hires into some companies. Elvis and Liberace used to live there and its one of the few properties right next to the Las Vegas Convention Center, but now the hotel most recently known as the LVH – Las Vegas Hilton was bought by Florida-based Westgate Resorts. Earlier this week, it was announced that PMMI Director of Expositions A.J. Janosko, who was 45, passed away suddenly as the result of an accident over the weekend, and now the A.J. Janosko Education Trust has been established for his two sons. Minneapolis Convention Center Will Get $14.5 Million Facelift alt

The Minneapolis Convention Center will have a nearly $14.5 million facelift to enhance the “relationship building” for clients and to remain competitive by being more efficient, flexible and better able to respond to the needs of the customers, according to venue officials.
