SEMA Show Expands to Include Three New Exhibitor Areas

In addition to 11 designated floor sections, the 2013 SEMA Show will include three different areas where First-Time and Featured Exhibitors can be found.

“In order for us to accommodate the more than 2,400 companies exhibiting at the 2013 SEMA Show, we’ve expanded our footprint,” said Peter MacGillivray, SEMA vice president of communications and events.

ASD Las Vegas, Independent Retailer Conference Join Forces

For next year’s ASD Las Vegas in March, the event will be collocated with the Independent Retailer Conference – the only conference dedicated to this sector.

“We’re excited to bring expert education and trusted support uniquely for independent retailers to our upcoming show, providing the thousands of independent retailers who attend each ASD Show a valuable experience to help their stores further succeed,” said ASD Show Marketing Director Camille Candella.

Southeast Asia's Myanmar Becomes Hot Spot for New Show Launches

Several international trade show organizers have placed their bets on launching shows in Myanmar, formerly Burma, as the newest place to expand their portfolios.

U.K.-based ITE Group recently announced they would be launching another show in the country, Myanmar Oil and Gas Week, along with partner company VEAS.

The show will be held Feb. 25-26 in Yangon.

“ITE Group is one of the world’s leading organizers of events for the oil and gas business community,” said ITE Group CEO Russell Taylor.

Let me start by saying personal wireless mobile hotspots from the major cellular carriers like Verizon, AT&T and Sprint are an incredible resource. Whether as a stand-alone product like a MiFi or as a feature of a smartphone, setting up a mobile hotspot can be an easy, convenient, and cost-effective way of creating your own WiFi network to get all of your devices online just about anywhere. That said, be forewarned if you plan to use this strategy at a trade show.
