UBM Asia getting ready to launch not one, but two new shows in the Asia-Pacific region, with Intermach Myanmar, the first international industrial manufacturing and subcontracting exhibition in the country, as well as South East Asia's first international Pet Asia 2013 in Singapore.

UBM Asia, through its Thailand division, already launched a highly successful Intermach show in that country and now will expand the brand into the fast-growing Myanmar market Oct. 24-26 at the Tatmadaw Exhibition Hall in Yangon.

U.S. News & World Report Will Launch Hospital of Tomorrow Conference

The U.S. News & World Report will launch the Hospital of Tomorrow conference, focusing on critical challenges facing the future of the hospital industry, which will be held Nov. 4-6 in Washington, D.C.

Medical experts, healthcare visionaries and hospital executives  will have several issues to discuss, including uncertainty that surrounds the Affordable Care Act, a shifting patient population, soaring costs, increasing payer and regulatory demands, and the impact of rapidly expanding technological innovation, to cite a few.

Abilities Expo Shatters Attendance Record in Los Angeles

5Net4 Prductions’ Abilities Expo saw a 27-percent spike in attendance at its March 15-17 show held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, compared with the previous year’s show.

The show drew 7,323 attendees by its final day, with a total of 9,100 altogether, counting an approximate 25 percent who were non-registered children under the age of 18. The total attendance broke last year’s record.

“The energy was incredible,” said 5Net4 President and CEO David Korse.
