Massachusetts Convention Center Authority Unveils Second Launch in New Show-ownership Model

The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority unveiled its second launch under a new show-ownership model in which it has an equity stake in events, with the Culinary Intelligence Summit debuting in June at the John B. Hynes Convention Center in Boston.

The Culinary Intelligence Summit will launch in conjunction with Intelligence Summits and be geared toward solutions for larger-scale food service operations working to implement and manage gluten-free/allergy meal solutions to meet consumer demand.

World Congress on Information Technology Chooses E.J. Krause to Manage Event

E.J. Krause & Associates has been chosen as the event management company of the 2014 edition of The World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT).

The event will be held Sept. 29-Oct. 1 at Expo Guadalajara in Mexico, the location chosen by the event’s owner - World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA). It will be the first country in Latin America to hold the event.

International Association of Exhibitions and Events' Expo! Expo! Sees 3-percent Attendance Uptick

This year’s International Association of Exhibitions and Events’ Expo! Expo! Annual Meeting & Exhibition in Houston reflected the overall continued optimism in the trade show industry, with 2,047 trade show organizers and suppliers  flocking to the city for the three-day event.

The unaudited attendance numbers indicated at least a 3-percent attendance jump, compared with last year’s numbers.

MAC Events, a consumer and trade show producer with shows in New Jersey, Virginia and Pennsylvania, has been acquired by Greenwich, Ct.-based Townsquare Media.
