TSNN Releases 2011 Top 50 Canadian Trade Shows List

Trade Show News Network is pleased to announce the release of the 2011 TSNN Top 50 Canadian Trade Shows list of rankings.

Culled from show management and data supplied to TSNN, the list represents the top 50 trade shows held last year in ranked by net square footage in Canada. The full list can be found at http://www.tsnn.com/datasite-cdn.

Snagging the No. 1 spot once again was Regina Exhibition Association’s Western Canada Farm Progress Show, with a massive 1,215,550 net square foot showfloor.

Everything is BIG in Dallas – Including ASAE’s Annual Meeting

This week, the American Society of Association Executives wrapped up their annual convention in Dallas on a high note, showing a 12-percent increase in their numbers and the most-attended event since it was held in Chicago six years earlier.

 

This year’s annual meeting was the highest seen since 2007. The final attendance breakdown includes 2,780 executives, 1,861 exhibitors and 1,369 others, including guests, spouses, press, volunteers, vendors and staff, for a grand total of 6,010.

 

The 2011 event in St. Louis drew 5,368 attendees.

SISO Executive Conference Draws Attendance Uptick in Chicago

Someone might wonder what feathers, bricks, rhinoceroses and cows all have to do with the trade show industry, but attendees at the Aug. 13-15 Society of Independent Show Organizers’ Executive Conference discovered that content is either like a feather that floats away or is more permanent like a brick and salespeople sometimes are passive (like cows) or charge forward (like rhinos).
