Reed’s Germany-based Bar and Beverage Show Heading to Brooklyn

Reed Exhibitions is bringing its Germany-based bar and beverage show to Brooklyn with the launch of Bar Convent Brooklyn, an extension of Bar Convent Berlin, which is celebrating its eleventh year.

The event will be held June 12-13, 2018 at the Brooklyn Expo Center.

At Bar Convent Brooklyn, bar and beverage professionals are invited to network with peers and learn about new trends, techniques and products in the domestic and international markets.

ASAE Unveils 2017 Gold Circle Awards Winners

The American Society of Association Executives unveiled the winners of the 2017 Gold Circle Awards competition, which denotes excellence, innovation, and achievement in association/nonprofit marketing, membership, and communications programs.

The Gold Circle Award for Overall Excellence will be announced during ASAE’s 2017 Marketing, Membership & Communications Conference (MMCC), May 2-3, in Washington, D.C. 

New Orleans and Houston Center’s Long-time Leaders Both Set to Retire

Two long-time facility leaders – the Houston George R. Brown Convention Center’s David Osterhout and the New Orleans Ernest N. Moral Convention Center’s Robert Johnson – both are set to retire.

Osterhout, known universally as simply Dave O, is turning in his keys after nearly three decades as the facility manager at the George R. Brown CC.

Osterhout, 69, retires on April 28 with a celebration joined by co-workers, clients, partners and many other friends.
